Mind the sign!

Especially in the United States, people tend to mix up the sign of medicine (rod of Asclepius) with the sign of trade (caduceus), even in professional circles. (There is a certain amount of truth in this mistake, though. Sadly enough, modern-day privatized healthcare has turned doctors into tradesmen serving the interest of insurance companies rather than the interest of the sick.)
