Now here is the Directory of Open Access Journals where you can find peer-reviewed scientific publications in a broad range of topics.

Online medical microscopic images

Here is a little help if you are in need of microscopic images in hematology, microbiology or cytology. The Bio-Image site is French, so don't expect to find information in English, but the pictures can be useful. Unfortunately, to view the histology images you need a login.

The Atlas of hematology is available both in English and Polish.

Biomedical animations and videos

JoVE and DNAtube.com are video sharing websites providing video based studies, lecturers and seminars in the filed a biology and medical sciences.
